Great perspectives. I did 3 rolls on Clear Creek and when I transitioned into my new Division, a burnout was planned. I was nervous about it. I’ll never forget Meeting Britt who was there, how he gave me a good briefing and reviewed his burn plan details and treated me like team mate. I felt welcomed. I felt more comfortable and it improved my confidence. That lesson stuck with me. It makes me take the time, go the distance, provide the extra effort during transitions, in briefings and when answering questions moving forward. Thanks

Transitions are just hard, especially when they involve your whole identity. I teach preschool now and transitioning is actually a big part of our curriculum. It’s a hard thing for human beings, period. Great talk guys. BTW, eyes closed, shaking head and “nonononono” is how Travis used to react to me playing with his GI Joes too...
